Well, you know what they say: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. That seems to be the sartorial mantra for the Royal family this Diamond Jubilee weekend as the Queen, Kate Middleton and Camilla firmly stick to their signature style.
It's the final day of the fantabulous celebrations, the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral is underway and more fancy garb is on display. For starters, the Queen is wearing an Angela Kelly ensemble just as she did for the boat pagent on Sunday.
According to our Telegraph pals, her senior dresser has created a dress of mint green fine silk tulle, upon which tiny star shaped flowers have been embroidered, then embellished with silver thread. A mint green chiffon drape, scattered with Swarovski crystals on the shoulders, has been added, which sweeps over the shoulders and down the back of the coat. The crown of the hat is covered in the same tulle and has also been draped in mint green chiffon and Swarovski crystals. Oo-ee.
The Duchess of Cambridge has also returned to what she wears best: Alexander McQueen. After wearing a red frock on Sunday and covering up with a black coat on Monday - both by the Brit brand - this Kate Middleton's third McQueen outing in as many days. What a hat trick! Sarah Burton is fast proving to be her go-to designer for such high-profile events and who can blame her when it's such a winning formula?
Seriously, doesn't she look gorgeously elegant? That's a resounding YES! Burton, the designer of her legendary wedding dress, has created this stunning blush-coloured shift dress covered in lace with full-length sleeves, an accented waist and ladylike knee-length hemline. The look is expertly polished off with her favourite nude LK Bennett heels, a dainty clutch, drop pearl earrings and fabulously floral headgear by Jane Taylor, which costs £790 for all you copy-Kates.
And no prizes for guessing what Camilla's wearing. Yep, that golden basket weave motif dress coat and nude trimmings is by Anna Valentine and she's topped it off with another Philip Treacy hat. This is the same tried-and-tested combo that the Duchess of Cornwall wore for her wedding, Kate and Wills' Big Day and, of course, Saturday's flotilla. You gotta admire that commitment.
Meanwhile, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have brought a splash of muted colour to the proceedings with Bea in a cornflower blue dress by Kinder topped off with Stephen Jones headgear and Eug in a purple Suzannah frock also with a Stephen Jones number atop her head. See, not a lady parts hat in sight.
Stay tuned as we bring you the (not so blurry) first snaps...
