So, he didn’t turn up wearing his leather chaps or covered in tattoos Stacee Jaxx-style, but Tom Cruise DID turn up wearing a jacket designed by Katie Holmes for her label Holmes and Yang (aw! dispelling any rumours of them splitting up, perhaps?) and wearing Top Gun-esque Rayban Aviators. While Grazia HQ waited on the red carpet at Leicester Square last night to catch a glimpse of all the outfits, Tom Cruise was the first to arrive spending a total of two hours talking to fans. Bless.
Breakout star, 23-year-old Julianne Hough (AKA Ryan Seacrest’s beau and Derek Hough’s sister) wore a Valentino black dress with white puffy sleeves and revealed that her lapdance scene with Tom got cut for being too steamy, ‘It was a little too hot and sexy but I’ll always have that in my back pocket; I gave Tom Cruise a lap dance.'
Malin Akerman, on the other hand, sparkled in Marchesa and spoke out about kissing Tom Cruise and er, sticking her tongue in his ear, saying ‘it took a lot of mints, a lot of mints. You never want to kill your co-star. But you can't really prepare for that. You know it is going to be a funny moment. I loved it in the script, and you get there on the day and you just go for it.’ Mary J Blige looked equally stunning in a black Catherine Malindrino dress.
In true rock star style, Russell Brand took his mother Barbara to the premiere and schmoozed his way up the red carpet. We even saw him taking photos with fan’s babies… All in all, it was a Rockin’ evening, filled with fans in mullet wigs and a performance from air guitarists... Rock on.
Rock Of Ages is out on Wednesday June 13.
